THE VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI TO THE UMC
The United Methodist Church in Burundi welcomed on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Head of State of Burundi, His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, who joined the Christians of Rohero Parish in Bujumbura district in the Sunday service, accompanied by his family and some of the authorities such as the Minister of home affairs, the Governor of Bujumbura Province and others.
WOMAN, ARISE AND SHINE
“WOMAN, ARISE AND SHINE” was the theme of the Women’s Organization leadership Conference held at the Annual Conference level, which took place in the Rohero_Parish premises on October 2–4, 2025. Words chosen in alignment with the theme of the Burundi Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, which is, “Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”. OPENING SERVICE FOR 2025 BURUNDI ANNUAL CONFERENCE SESSION
The 8th Ordinary Session of the Burundi Annual conference of United Methodist Church officially opened on 6 August 2025, with a vibrant worship service held at Nyabugogo Parish. The service was presided over by His Excellency Bishop Emmanuel Sinzohagera who preached from Isaiah 60:1 “Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”.
